The whole universe with all its galaxies is but the cosmic body of God. All the pairs of opposites such as good and bad, fair and foul, and so on are all but God. The five elements and the three gunas, the sun, moon, stars and everything that the man can or cannot conceive of is but God. All inclusive and all comprehensive is the divine manifestation as the cosmos.
In our sadhana, we grow from the self of the small body to the cosmic self of the cosmic body. Expansion thus is life, contraction or confinement to the small body is death. From the finite to the infinite, we expand and that is to become one with God. It is man, when the centre is at one spot and circumference is everywhere. It is God when the centre is everywhere and the circumference, too, is everywhere.
And to this infinite time and space we have to grow to be one with God, to be ever a witness, to be eternal, to be ever blissful, to be above all pairs of opposites, to be attached to none and to be ever free.
Arjuna is blessed with the eyes of knowledge and wisdom to be able to see the divine expansion. Everybody like Arjuna can see God, perceive God and be a devotee of God ever expanding into infinite. Let us be devotees of God to see God. Ego is the impediment to perceive God. Erase it and divinity is visible.
"All other gods are sleeping. What vain gods shall we go after and yet cannot worship the god that we see all round us, the Virat? When we have worshipped this, we shall be able to worship all other gods."--- Swami Vivekananda
