Chapter -12   Slokas —7
Those, however, who renouncing all actions in Me, and being attached to Me, worship Me with unswerving devotion through meditation-these people, who have fixed their mind on Me, I quickly redeem from this ocean of transmigratory existence beset with death.

No prayer remains unanswered. Prayer is power. Prayer promotes harmony. Prayer makes us prosperous. Prayer gives us peace. Prayer takes us to God. Prayer is peace and prayer is for the sake of prayer. The one of prayer never grieves. 'More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.

The Lord in the Gita assures that he would protect those who take refuge in Him.

When the elephant is caught in the clutches of a crocodile, when man is caught in a tight corner, when it is a question of life and death, when man is in danger, when his honour is at stake, if only, he looks to God for help and takes refuge at His feet, God comes to his rescue. Help surely comes to us, if only we pray with faith and devotion.

Markandeya the boy of sixteen is to die young. It is but fate or destiny. But the boy with faith in God conquers fate. "When Siva is within me, what can Yama do to me?" - asks the boy of steadfast faith and devotion. Lo and behold, he is saved. He is immortal.

Prahlada the young lad is ever a devotee. He is always prayerful. He is able to see God everywhere and always. Therefore, the Lord has seen to it that there is never a danger to the boy. Faith moves mountains. Prayer is power

"One should weep for God. When the impurities of the mind are thus washed away, one realizes God. The mind is like a needle covered with mud, and God is like a magnet. The needle cannot be united with the magnet unless it is free from mud. Tears wash away the mud, which is nothing but lust, anger, greed, and other evil tendencies, and the inclination to worldly enjoyments as well. As soon as the mud is washed away, the magnet attracts the needle, that is to say, man
realizes God.
