The wise ones hate none, love all. Pride and conceit are unknown to them. They are modest and friendly with all. They respect all, irrespective of their economic or social status. Caste, creed, nationality and religion do not prompt any prejudice in them. Sri Krishna and Swami Vivekananda are known not only for their wisdom but their kind heart as well.
Yudhishthira in Mahabharata performed the Rajasuya Yajna at Indraprastha. Duryodhana was allotted the responsibility of receiving the gifts from the guests. And when nobody came forward to receive the guests with due respect by washing their feet, Sri Krishna volunteered to do that duty himself. He washed the feet of every guest and received them all with the warmth of affection.
Swami Vivekananda as a wandering monk went round the country. At one place he saw a man of low caste enjoying a smoke. The Swami wanted to have a puff. He took from the man the hukah and smoked it himself. To him he was not a man of low caste or an untouchable. He is also a man and in him also there is God.
The wise see the same divinity in all.
"From the very date that Sri Ramakrishna was born, has sprung the Satya yuga (Golden Age). Henceforth there is an end to all sorts of distinctions, and everyone down to the chandala will be a sharer in the divine love. The distinction between man and woman, between the rich and the poor, the literate and the illiterate, Brahmins and Chandalas, -he lived to root out all. And he was the harbinger ofPeace-the separation between Hindus and Mohammedans, between Hindus and Christians, all are now things of the past."--- Swami Vivekananda
