Chapter -16   Slokas —1,2,3
Fearlessness, purity of heart, steadfastness in the Yoga of knowledge, charity, self-control, sacrifice, study of the Vedas, austerity, uprightness.
Non-injury, truthfulness, absence of anger, self-sacrifice, tranquility, freedom from slander, kindness to beings, non-covetousness, gentleness, modesty, absence of fickleness.
Boldness, forgiveness, fortitude, purity, absence of hatred, absence
of conceit-these belong to one bora for divine wealth, O descendant
of Bharata

Devas and danavas are not somewhere in heaven or hell. They are among us the human beings very much living amidst us on the earth. There are among us some people with divine traits or devilish qualities.

Those who are kind and noble, pure and devoted, fearless and selfless are divine. They are loving and alms giving with total control over senses, broad minded and straight forward. They are yogis. Narada is a devarshi. Hanuman, Bheeshma and Vibheeshana are but great devotees. Meera and Swami Vivekananda of the recent times are role models for divine faith.

They have all risen to heights because they have made themselves the best instruments in the hands of God.

Their lives are pure and their contribution to society is immense. They have paved the way to perfection through their devotion. Let's us emulate them so that we too may be of use to ourselves and others with divine fruits.

"In Bhakti-Yoga the central secret is, therefore, to know that the various passions and feelings and emotions in the human heart are not wrong in themselves; only they have to be carefully controlled and given a higher and higher direction, until they attain the very highest condition of excellence. The highest direction is that which takes us to God; every other direction is lower. This attachment of love to God is indeed one that does not bind the soul but effectively breaks all its bondages."--- Swami Vivekananda
