Hot ice and happy world cannot be available anywhere and at all times. Ice cannot be hot and world cannot be happy.
Man is tied to the tree of time by ropes which are being cut by two rats white and black, day and night. The days of everybody are being numbered. Beneath is death waiting to devour him as a lion. There are also snakes to inject him with the poison of deadly disesases. Nobody can conquer time and it is a path of thorns. Nor can anyone do away with death or its messengers who are in the shape of diseases. The moment we are born, we are shackled and drawn towards death. On the way, we find a few moments or drops of honey trickling from the beehive above. A frog caught in the mouth of a cobra struggles to catch a mosquito. Similarly, we strive to enjoy the drops of pleasure, sense pleasure now and then amidst all diseases and death.
Better, we develop the attitude of a witness to the pains and pleasures of this body and mind. An avadhuta is one who is but a disinterested spectator to all the happenings. Bees collect and hoard honey without enjoying a drop of it. A honey collector comes and drives away the bees and takes away the honey. Ants build huge anthills and cobras occupy them driving away the ants. Some strive to make money and some others spend and enjoy it. A sage looks at them both with equanimity and detachment.
"Happiness presents itself before man, wearing the crown of sorrow on its head. He who welcomes it must also welcome sorrow."--- Swami Vivekananda
