Chapter -3   Slokas — 21
Whatever a great man does, others also copy; that which he accepts
as authority, people only follow.

The responsibility of a man is more than that of a child. The greatest responsibility of a great man is to set an example, to be a role model. The ignorant masses are like the innocent children following the foot prints of the great.

If the elders are to foster petty mindedness and prejudices, the same will percolate into the people as superstition, fanaticism, violence and cut-throat competition leading to deceit and quarrels, separatism and segregation, sectarianism and selfishness.

Sri Ramakrishna is above all worldly movements of narrow mindedness and ignorance. He sees God in all and finds Truth in everything. He has not found any of the religions to be bad or unworthy. He has practised with all sincerity all religious paths, and ultimately came to the conclusion that all paths lead to the same goal and therefore, there is no need to fight and quarrel in the name of religion.

There are only three religions: religion of faith, religion of love and religion of reason. All of them take us to God, show us God, make us godly.

We have faith in us, love in us and reason in us. They are divine, when they are pure without our egoism.

"India has suffered long, the religion eternal has suffered long. But the Lord is merciful. Once more He has come to help His children, once more the opportunity to rise is given to fallen India. India can only rise by sitting at the feet of Sri Ramakrishna. His life and his teachings are to be spread far and wide, are to be made to penetrate every pore of Hindu society."--- Swami Vivekananda
