Dear Arjuna, remember no devotees of mine will ever perish. Tests and tribulations are only to brighten them, not to destroy them. Even a false devotee will have solace and respect. The real ones, of course, surpass all in spiritual luminosity.
Once a thief was spotted out by a few villagers. He was chased and chased. For want of escape, the thief chose to disguise himself as a devotee. He sat under a green wood tree's shade and pretended to be a devoted sadhu. People who came to catch him remained to worship him. The thief felt that it was wrong to deceive them. Moreover, if the garb of a sadhu could command so much respect, how much more respect would a real sadhu command? That very moment he had transformed himself into a real devotee.
Not only does a devotee improve himself in evolving towards divinity, but becomes capable of changing others also into devotees. Only life influences life.
Pavahari Baba was a great sage of spiritual eminence. Once a thief entered his hut and tried to steal the humble belongings of the saint. The Baba found him and offered him all the belongings with love and blessings. The thief was moved by the kindness and generosity of the Sadhu. The boundless affection of Pavahari Baba transformed a thief also into a devotee.
People of good heart and real devotion, pious nature and integrity can bring in a transformation for the better in any society.
Persons of metamorphosing magnanimity are the need of the hour.
