A Report on 172nd Birthday Celebrations of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna...

 The 172nd birthday of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna was celebrated at the Math on Monday, 19 February 2007 with religious fervour.

 The programme began at 5.30 am with Mangalarati, Suprabhatam and Bhajans. There was procession at 6.30 am. A Ratham with   Sri Ramakrishna's photo well decorated was pulled around the temple with Bhajans. The special puja and bhajans began at 8.00 am and there was havan at 10.30 am.  More than 3000 devotees took prasadam. There was harikatha by "Nada Chintamani" Sri Chirra Brahmananda Reddy Bhagavatulu at 2.00 pm and Kathamruta Songs" by Smt. P. Supriya & Group, Tirupati at 3.30 pm.

 There was discourses on the life and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna at 5.30 pm by Swami Jnanadanandaji and Swami Srikantanandaji.  From 6.45 to 8.00 pm there was evening Arati and Bhajans. "Bhajananjali"   MP3 cd containing the Bhajans sung by Swami Jnanadanandaji was released on the occasion.
