Maha Sivaratri Celebrations on 16.Feb.07, A Report.

Om Namah Sivaya...

        The Maha Sivaratri was celebrated at the Math on 16.Feb.07 with Special worship, Bhajans etc.  The Bhajans and Special puja began at 8.00 pm.  There was Special puja, abhishekam, arati etc. on all four ‘praharas’ (quarters) of the night.  Simultaneously the congregation Bhajans also continued all through the night.  The program ended with Homa (Havan) at 5.00 am distribution of prasadam.

 
        There was ‘Siva Tandava’ dance by the disciples of noted Siva Tandava exponent Sri Nataraja Ramakrishna of Hyderabad and also procession at the end of every quarter around the temple with well decorated ‘Ratham’ and with the accompaniment of Bhajans.  Large number of devotees participated in the whole programme all through the night.
