The birthday of Swami Vivekananda 10 Jan.07, a report.

The 145th birthday of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated with religious fervour at Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad. The day began with Mangalarati and Vedic Chanting followed by procession around the temple with Swami Vivekananda's chariot. The monks and devotees gathered sing bhajans.

It was followed by Special Worship, Havan and Bhajans. At 12.00 noon poor feeding (Narayana Seva) and distribution of prasad took place. There was musical performance from 3.00 to 5.00 pm. it was followed by discourses in Telugu and English on the life and message of Swami Vivekananda.

"Sri vivekananda Smaranam" Audio cassette and Cd was released on the occasion which was an instant hit, by selling more than a thousand copies in all.
