Sri Ramakrishna Jayanti 2011 - A report

The celebration started on 06.03.2011 with Suprabhatam and Mangala Harati to Sri Sri Guru Maharaj. Then there were bhajans for an hour. This was followed by Temple pradakshina or parikrama while singing the names of the Lord. There was special worship with 16 items to Sri Sri Ramakrishna for two hours while various bhajans were being sung by all present. Then there was a one-hour special Sri Ramakrishna leela geethi by Revered Adhyaksha Maharaj. It was followed by Homam and speeches in Telugu and English. At the end there was Anna Bhog to Sri Sri Thakur and special Harati.

In the evening after sandhya Harati also there was the special Leela Geethi and Bhajans by Adhyaksha Maharaj. About 4000 devotees participated in the festival and about 500 Narayanas in the form of human beings took prasadam in the Annadanam section.
