The Institute teaches the Chinese Language at 4 levels – First Junior, Second Junior, First Senior and Second Senior levels. The duration of each level is three months.

Chinese is one of the most spoken language in the world. The country is experiencing overwhelming growth, which means the economy is expanding, and China’s popularity is booming. Not only does China have one of the most important economies in the world, but interest in the language and culture is growing. The Chinese language is the official language in six countries, and it’s one of the six official languages of the United Nations. For India to tap the Chinese market we need people with a working knowledge of the Chinese language.

The Chinese course offered by the Institute takes the learner from the very scratch and gradually increases the knowledge of the basic vocabulary, script etc.

The textbooks and approach of teaching adopted are such that the students can appear for the globally recognized Hanyu Suiping Kaoshi (HSK) conducted periodically by the Confucius Institute, China.

Chinese Grammar – Verb, Adverb, Modal Verb, Auxiliary Verb, Adjectives, interrogative sentences, reduplications of verbs, time modifier, verb complements, Structural particles. New Chinese characters – 300. Spoken and listening comprehension. Writing practice for frequently used Characters.
